Enhancing the social inclusion of low income single parents

Single-parents families, most of whom consist of women, have more possibilities to live at risk of poverty and social exclusion. In 2016, the highest at-risk-of-poverty rate in the EU-28 was recorded for single parents with dependent children, at more than one third. In particular, women are affected the most, as they make up almost 85% of all single-parent families in the EU.
