ParentBank: Launching of the Time Bank dedicated to single parents

  • Post category:news

The ParentBank partnership is announcing the launching of the Time Bank dedicated to single parents. The Time Bank is designed to encourage connections between community members on the basis that everyone has something to give and everyone has needs. Time Bank members commit to “give and receive” using Time Credits earned and spent. The “golden rule” of Time Banking is this: An hour of my time is equal to an hour of your time. One hour of service given earns one time credit. A commitment to the core values helps people to get into the spirit of Time Banking and helps keep that spirit alive.

In the Time Bank, single parents will be able to exchange services such as:

  • arts, crafts &music (classes, lessons)
  • business services (computer support, financial)
  • community services (recycling, group projects, work for social change),
  • education (classes, workshops, tutoring/Mentoring)
  • wellness (fitness& exercise)

The piloting of the Time Bank will be organized in each partner country during the following months, and will be available in the following languages: Romanian, Greek, Spanish, Lithuanian, Croatian and Bulgarian.

We invite all single parents interested to enroll on the Time Bank of the ParentBank project in each country. The Time Bank is available at:
